About us

Healing shouldn't be lonely, and movement shouldn't feel like a risk.

That's the whole idea behind Rise & Rebound.

I'm Tanja, founder of Rise & Rebound.
This isn't the first time I've had to rebuild trust in my own body.
Years ago, a serious car accident meant learning to walk again from scratch. It was slow, humbling work, and it taught me that recovery isn't a straight line, and it isn't something you're meant to do alone.

Then, in April 2026, the unexpected happened, a heart attack. Almost a week in hospital, medications every day, and a body that needed time, real time, to find its footing.

My sister suggested I try rebounding again. Gentle bouncing on a mini trampoline, safe for a healing heart, easy on the joints. It sounded almost too simple, and it got me thinking about everyone else going through something similar.

Why gentle rebounding for recovery

The more I looked into it, the clearer it became: I'm far from the only one. People recovering from cancer treatment, surgery, cardiac events, or lymphatic issues are so often sent home with no safe first step back into movement, and no one to do it alongside.

That's what we're building here.  A gentle, low-impact exercise option for recovery after a heart attack, surgery, or illness, grounded in real science (your lymphatic system needs movement to do its job, it has no pump of its own), and held together by community rather than pressure.

Come bounce with me

Alongside my own recovery experience, I hold certifications as a Fitness Coach and Diet Coach. Deepening my training in lymphatic drainage is part of where I'm headed next, and I want to build this in the open, honestly, because I think that's part of what makes it trustworthy.

Whether you're recovering from something big, supporting someone who is, or just looking for a kinder way to move, you're welcome here.
I am based in George, Western Cape, get in touch with me and we can get stronger together, one gentle bounce at a time.
